JIU JITSU Classes for kids and adults
01
Why Our Adult Classes?
At Heritage Jiu Jitsu, we offer more than just training—we offer transformation.
Whether you’re here to get in shape, sharpen your skills, compete, or simply find something real in a world full of noise—our adult program meets you where you are and pushes you to become the strongest version of yourself.
We specialize in No-Gi Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling—combat-proven systems that prioritize efficiency, adaptability, and real-world application. You won’t find outdated katas or belt-chasing here. What you will find is a results-driven curriculum built on the same strategies used at the highest levels of ADCC, WNO, and UFC competition.
Our training is rooted in modern coaching science and real experience. We take a principle-based, ecological approach to learning—focusing on live decision-making, high-percentage techniques, and realistic resistance. You’ll learn how to actually move, defend yourself, and dominate the mat—not just drill patterns without context.
Classes are taught by Professor Jeremy Laviano, a second-degree black belt with over 20 years of coaching experience, a B.S. in kinesiology and biomechanics, and a background working with everyone from professional MMA fighters and law enforcement to everyday adults. He’s known for his blunt but honest coaching style, his deep understanding of body mechanics, and a dry wit that keeps things real—and real effective.
Women’s ONly Classes
For women seeking a powerful entry point into martial arts, Coach Jamie Rodriguez leads a dedicated Women’s-Only Jiu Jitsu class. With a B.S. in Education and years of experience as both an athlete & instructor, Coach Jamie creates a supportive, structured, and empowering space where women can build real skills, confidence, and community—no egos, no intimidation, just progress.
What makes Heritage different:
✅ No-Gi focused training built for real-world application
✅ Evidence-based curriculum rooted in live training, not choreography
✅ Welcoming environment for beginners and seasoned athletes alike
✅ Separate women’s-only classes led by a skilled female coach
✅ Culture of accountability, respect, and growth
✅ No cult vibes—just honest training with serious results
We don’t sell gimmicks.
We train hard. We train smart. And we train together

Why Our Kid’s Classes?
At Heritage Jiu Jitsu, we do more than teach kids how to grapple—we help them grow into confident, resilient, and capable young people.
Our No-Gi program is designed from the ground up to meet the needs of modern kids in a modern world. Grounded in science, fueled by fun, and led by world-class coaches, our approach blends proven martial arts training with cutting-edge coaching strategies.
We don’t do cookie-cutter classes. Our curriculum is built on high-level movement principles, real-world self-defense, and game-based learning rooted in the ecological approach—an evidence-backed method that keeps kids mentally and physically engaged while they develop critical life skills.
Kids at Heritage aren’t just memorizing moves. They’re learning how to problem-solve under pressure, move with purpose, and control their bodies and emotions in challenging situations. Whether they’re navigating a tough match, a school bully, or a difficult moment in life—our students are being equipped to face it with grit and composure.
Led by Professor Jeremy Laviano—a second-degree black belt with over two decades of teaching experience and a degree in kinesiology and biomechanics—our coaching team brings the perfect mix of technical expertise, athletic development, and classroom control. Professor Laviano’s no-nonsense approach may not be for the sensitive-hearted, but his insight and precision have earned him a reputation as firm but fair—and deeply respected. His partner, Coach Jamie Rodriguez, brings a background in education and five years of instructional experience to the mat, offering structure, warmth, and a sharp eye for detail.
Together, we’ve created a space where kids can be kids—while becoming something more.
Homeschool Jiu Jitsu at Heritage
Our Homeschool Jiu Jitsu classes offer a unique opportunity for homeschooled kids to build confidence, coordination, and social skills in a structured, fun, and physically engaging environment.
Designed to fit flexible schedules, these daytime classes focus on real self-defense, athletic development, and cooperative problem-solving—without the rigid formality of traditional martial arts programs. Through dynamic games and live training, students learn how to move with purpose, think under pressure, and support their teammates.
Led by experienced coaches who understand the needs of homeschool families, our program delivers discipline, community, and real growth on and off the mat.
